Built as an independent alternative to AI Dungeon, Unwritten combines flexible storytelling with editable story cards, a character journal & memory tools designed to keep your adventure connected as it grows.

Choose what powers your story

• Grok: Connect your own xAI API key. Narration uses your account’s API credits; Voice & See also use Grok.
• LM Studio: Run a local AI model on your own computer. Local narration requires no paid API credits, though performance depends on your hardware & chosen model.
